Role Overview

We are looking for a talented, ambitious, and highly capable Manufacturing Technician to join our growing composites team and work on a production environment, where cutting-edge materials are combined with innovative manufacturing processes to result in high performance composite parts. As part of the composites team, you will support the production’s tasks and interface not only with your teammates but also with the engineering and materials teams and external suppliers that support the company’s production. A first-class manufacturing technician will be someone whose production knowledge and skills result in the manufacturing of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform assigned product manufacturing (incl. most of the composite manufacturing
  • processes) and assembly tasks with close adherence to internal Standard OperationProcedures (SOPs) and external regulations.
  • Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure that products are being produced to the required quality standards. This involves inspecting products, taking measurements,and performing quality control tests.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate production conditions, determine when senior staff involvement is required, and collaborate with technical and engineering personnel to interpret technical documents (equipment settings, product specifications, quality control data, and manufacturer/company guidelines).
  • Monitor trends, propose and implement improvements to optimize manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure all necessary documentation is readily available for production.
  • Work under the general guidance of supervision and may receive job assignments
  • Read and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications sketches, job orders, planning
  • Keep accurate documentation. Maintain detailed records of production processes,
  • Operate both common workshop machinery and PLC based equipment according to
  • Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment to keep it in good working
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest manufacturing technologies, processes, and industry
  • Manage the inventory by tracking supplies and ensuring that the necessary materials
Requirements
  • Degree from a Technological Educational Institute or a Graduate combining High School (Technical or Regular) Education
  • Minimum of 3 years work related experience.
  • Good Craftmanship – skilful hands with a Can-Do attitude and proven experience.
  • Physical dexterity & stamina.
  • Familiarity with common shop tools – band saws & grinders, disk cutters & sanders,power-drills etc.
  • Attention to detail – there are often many steps involved in a process; must be familiar with the details of each. Must follow SOPs closely.
  • Good communication skills – Fluent in both English & Greek (written & oral).
  • Team Spirit - accepting joint responsibility for team successes and shortcomings but also capable of working independently.
  • Good computer skills – PC literate (MS Office).
  • Passion about making an impact.

Extra points for:

  • 2+ years of Work Experience in similar Production Environment (Composite Materials): Paint Shop, Boats Manufacturing etc.
  • Ability to use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.
  • Experience in CNC machining.
  • Good knowledge of machining and other manufacturing processes (e.g. welding) for metallic parts and structures.
